FIRST-AID
The aim of First Aid Training is to teach participants the appropriate life-saving techniques to apply to an injured or traumatised person while awaiting emergency services. The course focuses on life-saving actions, understanding emergency situations, and knowing how to intervene safely and appropriately to minimise risks.
Target audience:
All personnel requiring training in first aid techniques.
Terms and conditions of access
First aid training can accommodate up to 10 people during a session.
Entry requirements and conditions:
No prerequisites required. Our teaching team remains available to provide personalised support for each group.
Training venue:
AMARANTE Académie provides several training centres across Europe, particularly in France and Belgium. Training may also be delivered at a location of the client's choice, including internationally, provided the venue meets the course’s specific requirements.
Duration and organisational details:
Our First Aid Training lasts 1 day and is delivered exclusively in person. Each training day lasts up to 8 hours.
Objectives (skills and competencies targeted):
The learning objectives of this course are as follows:
- Assess the situation and deliver the appropriate first aid treatment;
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR);
- Place an individual in the recovery position;
- Use an automated external defibrillator (AED) effectively;
- Acquire the basic procedures for responding to shock, fainting, and/or poisoning;
- Be capable of managing burns and fractures while waiting for emergency services;
- Develop the ability to manage stress during interventions and communicate effectively with emergency services.
Content, programme, modules, units:
Topics covered during the 1-day training include:
- Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED);
- Placing a person in the recovery position;
- Identifying massive haemorrhage;
- Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR);
- Improvising and/or applying a tourniquet;
- Responding to shock, fainting, and/or poisoning;
- Managing burns and fractures while awaiting emergency services;
- Applying a pressure dressing.
The “First Aid” course content can be adapted to meet client-specific needs.
The training can be extended to two days (16 hours total) when supplemented with our certified Stop The Bleed® module, focusing on the management of massive haemorrhages.
Certifications applicable to this programme:
- American College of Surgeons – Our medical modules are certified under the Stop The Bleed® programme developed by the American College of Surgeons;
- Divers Alert Network Europe (DAN) – Our instructors are certified by DAN to deliver first aid training;
- European Resuscitation Council (ERC) – Our CPR modules are in line with ERC guidelines;
- Health & Safety Institute (HSI) – Our First Aid modules comply with HSI standards;
- Medic First Aid (MFA) – Our First Aid programmes are recognised in Europe and meet MFA standards.
Assessment methods (during and/or post-training):
- Initial positioning test upon entry into the course;
- Final knowledge validation via a practical exercise.
Monitoring of course delivery:
- Attendance sheets (or online log);
- Daily objective assessments;
- Training evaluation form completed by each participant;
- Delivery of a certificate of course completion.
Training resources and methods:
AMARANTE Académie ensures the transfer of knowledge based on best practices, with a course structure comprising approximately 30% theory and 70% (up to 80%) practical exercises.
The practical part is based on highly realistic scenarios designed by our instructor teams.

Teaching team:
A dedicated instructional team, selected from our certified instructors, will be assigned to meet your needs. All instructors have strong experience in first aid and tactical medicine and will remain available throughout the training.
Depending on their profile, instructors possess:
- Extensive training in first aid, resuscitation, emergency care, and tactical medicine;
- Significant field experience in high-risk environments, such as crisis, conflict, or disaster situations requiring rapid and effective medical response;
- A proven ability to deliver practical skills tailored to the specific demands of civilian or military emergency response.
