Jean began his career in the French Army as an Infantry as an infantry officer. He joined the Amarante Group in February 2018. He was in charge of protecting the French Embassy in Afghanistan for two and a half years. He then worked on the group's Algerian subsidiary as director of operations.

After two long-term missions in New Caledonia and Niger in 2021, Jean was appointed head of Amarante's Operations Support Operations Department in February 2022. In this capacity, and under the authority of the Deputy CEO in charge of Operations, he built and oversees several divisions in charge of travel, logistics, international recruitment, and quality. 

A geographer by training (Paris I) and a graduate of the Ecole d'Application de l'Infanterie, Jean also holds an Advanced Master's degree in Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management (CESI Ecole d'Ingénieurs), the HEC Paris Executive MBA (2022) and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Babson College, Boston (2022).
