Jean began his career in the French Army as an Infantry officer. He joined the Amarante group in February 2018. He was in charge of protecting the French embassy in Afghanistan for two and a half years. He then worked on the group's Algerian subsidiary as operations manager. After two long-term assignments in New Caledonia and Niger in 2021, Jean was appointed Head of Amarante's Operations Support Department in February 2022, then promoted to Deputy Director Europe in January 2023.

A geographer by training (Paris I) and a graduate of the Ecole d'Application de l'Infanterie, Jean also holds an Advanced Master's Degree in Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management (CESI Ecole d'Ingénieurs), an Executive MBA from HEC Paris Business School (2022) and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Babson College, Boston (2022).
