In order to better face the new challenges in the field of security, Amarante's team integrates skills and expertise from both the military field (former executives of elite units of the French Armed Forces) and civilians (specialised engineers, graduates of elite higher education institutions).
As co-founder of the company, Hervé Vicini has been involved in the development of Amarante since its creation. A renowned expert in the field of the protection of technologies, he is the head of Amarante Espace, Amarante’s subsidiary specialised in the protection of spaceship launchers as well as of exported satellite technology. Building on its specific expertise in close protection, he is also Director of the subsidiary Amarante Protection.
A former non-commissioned officer of the French infantry, Hervé began his career in the 17th Parachutist Engineers Regiment, within the Combat Divers section. He was then appointed as an instructor to the French National Center of Commando Training, where he helped training officers and noncommissioned officers for the land forces.
He then joined the Special Forces and Intelligence Services, where he supervised a unit specialised in explosive devices. He ran several field missions within this unit, before joining Amarante in 2007.
