In order to better face the new challenges in the field of security, Amarante's team integrates skills and expertise from both the military field (former executives of elite units of the French Armed Forces) and civilians (specialised engineers, graduates of elite higher education institutions).
Jean-Louis Jolivet joined Amarante in 2019 to head Amarante’s subsidiary in Senegal.
He began his career as an officer in the national police within the riot squad units. After having directed for two years the office of the security guards of the France Embassies, he worked more than ten years abroad (Ivory Coast, Mali and Congo) as a police technical advisor and cooperation project manager. Recruited as Senior Security Advisor to the EU Election Observation Missions in Brussels, he joined GEOS where he was the deputy director of the Belgian branch dedicated to international institutions. He is again recruited by the European Commission to ensure the functions of regional coordinator (Sahel, West and Central Africa) of the security of the Directorate of Humanitarian Aid (ECHO) in Dakar. Jean-Louis also worked as a project manager “National Capacity development” for the United Nations Mines Action Service (UNMAS) within the Mali program.
