Preventing and managing risks associated with kidnapping and hostage- taking
This course is designed for directors, managers, executives and agents with foreign assignments in countries at risk.
In today's world, business travellers and expatriates are frequently the target of political, military, or criminal organizations that practise kidnapping and hostage-taking as a means of applying pressure.
These particularly alarming situations are experienced with varying degrees of intensity, especially depending on the personality of the hostage and how well he or she has been prepared.
In these situations, the behaviour of the hostages significantly influences the duration and conditions of their detention.
Rigorous preparation for this risk will therefore be a determining factor enabling travellers to endure this type of assault.
Training objective
The aim of the training is to prepare travellers who might be exposed to the reality of hostage-taking by giving practical details of the different stages of this type of crisis (kidnapping, detention, liberation, return to normal life) and by suggesting what types of behaviour to adopt.
